GRAMMR™

Cartoon of GRAMMR (Genetic ReAssortment by MisMatch Resolution)Novici’s patented GRAMMR™ technology is a novel molecular evolution platform that can generate large libraries of extensively shuffled gene sequences faster and more efficiently than traditional approaches. This technical superiority is achieved in part by focusing on the regions of DNA sequence diversity rather than areas of sequence identity, which allows us to evolve even highly divergent molecules. During the GRAMMR™ reassortment process, genes remain full-length, and resulting chimeras are generated by enzymatic resolution of mismatches in heteroduplexes formed from a population of two or more parental molecules.
